Favourite Wellington Cafes

At the end of last year we spoke about our favourite Melbourne Cafe’s, so now it’s time to take a look at some of our favourite places in the Wellington region.
Have we missed a goodie? What are your favourite spots?

Comes & Goes Petone
259 Jackson Street, Petone, Wellington 5012
Comes & Goes is the new kid on the block when it comes to eating out. With its gorgeous simple decor and beautifully presented dishes, we’re determined to try everything on the menu!
The Salt & Wood Collective
11 Ngaio Road, Waikanae, Kapiti Coast 5036
Unfortunately for us this little gem is situated just around the corner from Emma, which means that it has become a quick favourite. Great decor and delicious food, what more could you ask for?
Nikau Cafe
Civic Square, 101 Wakefield St, Wellington 6011
Hidden in the hustle and bustle of Civic Square, Nikau Cafe is a great option if you’re looking for a quick bite to eat or to sample one of their delicious cheese scones. Their outdoor area is fabulous on a hot sunny day and for us it’s definitely a weekday favourite of ours.
The Front Room
42 Tutere Street, Waikane, Kapiti Coast 5036
Located in Waikanae Beach, The Front Room is a popular spot for locals and people holidaying in the area. Their menu is classic and we can hand on heart say we’ve never had a bad meal there. They also have an incredible out door area that is like walking into a tropical rain forest.
103 Oriental Parade, Oriental Bay, Wellington 6011
Another newcomer to the Wellington scene, Coene’s has a cool and classic vibe that makes you want to return time and time again. Based in the old Martin Bosley’s restaurant on Oriental Parade, this is one you must put on your hit list!

I will be trying the cheese scones at Nikau Cafe now, it’s just across the road from my work 🙂 thanks girls. Another goodie is the salted caramel cookies at Ti Kouka cafe, Willis Street, Wellington, I’m told the coffee is great too xo
