Last week on our socials we put up a photo which showcased what makeup I (Jane) use on a daily basis. I thought it might be a good idea to do a bit of a review for you all!

Rimmel London Volume Colourist Mascara

Mascara

This mascara is amazing, I have to admit when I first opened it and pulled out the wand I was a bit sceptical because I am a lover of a curved mascara wand whereas this one is quite skinny and long BUT I am in love, it goes on perfectly and I swear my eyelashes have been looking the best they have in a long time. This will be a repeat buy for sure! You get the added bonus of over time your eyelashes being tinted which is amazing for people like me who have naturally very light eyelashes.

Rimmel London Sculpting Kit

Highlighter

Love it!! The highlighter has to be my favourite part, I find that the powder goes on and blends a lot easier than highlighting creams that I’ve previously used. It is very subtle so if you are looking for a really obvious and bright highlighter then this might not be for you. The Contour and blush powder are also great but the Nars blush is my go-to colour so haven’t used too much of this pallet but on occasions where I have, it looks and feels great!

Mac Eyelash Curler

curler
I have used this for years and love it, will continue to buy this magical tool. I can tell the days I don’t use it, my eyelashes lack curl and volume and my mascara just doesn’t seem to go on as great.

Nars Sheer Glow Foundation

Nars Foundation

I love Nars, this foundation is perfect as I look for foundations that have quite a bit of coverage and are long lasting. Nothing worse than getting towards the end of the day and looking in the mirror to find you have literally no makeup on. I transition from a darker colour in summer (Barcelona) to a lighter one in winter (Santa Fe), this foundation goes on easily and you can build it up so that you get even more coverage without it going patchy or too dark. In winter my skin can get dry in patches and this foundation doesn’t stick to dry areas which is great! A perfect all-rounder!

Nars Blush

Blush

Pink blush is a favourite and this colour (Mata Hari) is gorgeous. Not too pink so that I look like a colourful clown, but just enough to make my cheek bones stand out.

Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer

Smashbox

One word… AMAZING!!! I’ve tried a few primers because for some reason my skin reacts to primer and not in a great way. I have finally found one that only does amazing things to my skin and makeup. This primer leaves my skin feeling absolutely amazing and helps keep my makeup on all day. I always thought primer was a waste of money until I tried this little beauty, now there is no going back!

Chanel Healthy Glow

Bronzer

One thing I hate now that I’m a bit older is a super sparkly bronzer, not all that glitters is gold. I prefer a more subtle golden glow, yes I’m sure you could pull a few oompa loompa photos out of the archives, so I am very careful of bronzer these days. Chanel are great at what they do and not only does this bronzer/Healthy Glow powder smell amazing, it goes on smoothly and looks great without the extreme glitter effect.
